Have you ever cast out a demon?
In a live Bible study interview with Kapp Chatfield, Isaiah Saldívar tackles the difficult question of how we, as children of God, should relate to deliverance.
Saldívar first mentioned that if we actively participate in the deliverance service, it is not a question but a certainty that people will leave our lives.

“If you read what they did to Jesus when he started casting out demons, they called him the devil,” Saldívar says. “So don’t expect it to start all of a sudden.” [to be] When you cast out your demons, everyone will love you and your family will think it’s great.you will be [cast out] Especially for standing up to the power of the devil and casting him out. ”
Another important thing Saldivar wants people to realize is that the topic of rescue is actually rarely discussed. That’s what people need as a key to escaping bondage, Saldivar said. Additionally, Saldívar said there needs to be a training process for Christians engaged in deliverance ministry because deliverance is not something that one or two people know how to do. Rather, it is God asking His children to participate in freeing the captives.
Regarding freeing people from bondage, Chatfield asked one of the most controversial questions regarding the ministry of deliverance.
“People ask this question in particular,” Chatfield asks Saldivar. “Can Christians be possessed by demons?”
“When it comes to rescue, this is the most controversial issue,” Saldivar said. “I believe one of the biggest lies the devil tells is that Christians don’t need rescue… So can Christians be possessed by the devil?”

answer? Saldivar says that’s definitely not the case.
“It’s impossible for a Christian to be possessed by an evil spirit,” Saldivar said.
Saldivar delves deeper into what this actually means. Christians cannot be possessed by demons. However, Saldívar makes it clear that the devil may still try to influence believers. While there is much theological debate about the appropriate terminology, methods, and beliefs about how deliverance ministry should be conducted, Chatfield and Saldívar both argue that Christians do not want their lives to be a door to the enemy. It points out that we should be aware that this is open to the public.
“We are to live in holiness and righteousness, honing God with clean hands and a clean heart,” Saldívar said. “Instead of going from rescue to rescue, we have to walk in domination.”
No matter where you stand on the subtle details of deliverance ministry, it is important to understand that the spiritual realm exists and the devil exists to steal, kill, and destroy. Only through Christ can we be completely changed and set free.
