If you’ve ever tried a Pilates class, especially one that uses pulley equipment, you know that the exercises can be intense enough to make you scream from the room. The truth is, even if you regularly do muscle-shaking workouts, your feelings about the challenge can be complicated. Even if stretching and breathing are good for you and you can’t deny the results, you’re entering a world of pain.
We don’t know if Kristen Wiig is a Pilates enthusiast in real life, but she played a *very* convincing instructor in the movie saturday night live“Pilates” sketch from the April 6th episode. Indeed, Wiig’s bone-chilling portrayal is only slightly scarier than the real-life Pilates instructor who has developed a cult following. Actress and model Kaia Gerber also appeared as herself in the sketch, showing the table who’s boss.

Kristen Wiig and Kaia Gerber appear in SNL’s Pilates horror movie trailer
“Meredith, I don’t think you should do this,” a woman (Chloe Fineman) says to a friend (Molly Carney). Convincing each other to try it out, they step into the purple-lit tomb.
“What is here? Why is it so dark?” they wonder. “So… what is that machine?”
That’s when Wiig’s instructor yelled, “Moms, is this your first class?” (Between Wiig’s characters, Gail and Aunt Linda, and her instructor’s ensemble, it was a big episode for Kristen Wiig, who wore a pink outfit).
”Pilates: From the creator of saw x And Alo’s marketing director brings a chilling new perspective to girl horror,” a chilling voiceover narrates.
“It’s very hard, but it’s also very boring,” a devastated woman (Sarah Sherman) tells her friend, as the scene begins as a wig instructor instructs her on how to attach an impossible strap.

“This machine is called the ‘Reformer,'” the Sherman character continues (yes, it’s actually called that). “It seems like it’s designed for torture, but it’s also somehow designed for sex.”
In the Pilates chamber of horrors, seconds turn into hours as women pull their legs up to their shoulders exorcist-style.
“Usually there are eight gorgeous women, one gay man not wearing underwear, and sometimes Kaia Gerber.”
But the creepiest thing is Pilates — Both the horror movie and the class will penetrate your mind and all major muscle groups.
“And just when you thought you’d never be one of them…” the voiceover continues, Feynman’s character discovers that his friend Meredith is now a full-on blow-out hair believer. .
Meanwhile, a woman (Punky Johnson) who scoffs at the one-pound weights she uses learns a deadly lesson.
“Oh, I hate it when people die,” Wiig’s instructor sneers.clock SNL“Pilates” sketch above.
