This year, when you purchase a Smile Cookie at a Tim Hortons store in Windsor, you are showing your support for the Victorian Nurses Corps’ Ontario Student Nutrition Program and Hospice of Windsor and Essex Counties.
The campaign began Monday morning at the Tim Hortons store on Manning Road in Tecumseh.
“Smile Cookie Week helps support the sustainability of local school lunch programs,” said Danielle Findlay, Community Relations Supervisor for the Ontario Student Nutrition Program. “Schools are feeling the pressure of rising food prices, so this campaign will go a long way to ensuring children and young people get the nutrition they need to succeed at school.”
The VON program funds and supports breakfast, snack and lunch programs in 95 schools in Windsor and Essex counties.
Hospice of Windsor and Essex County provides compassionate end-of-life care to patients and their loved ones by providing specialized comprehensive services to adults, children, and their caregivers in their homes or facilities. Masu.
“Tim Hortons has been a long-time partner and supporter of our hospice and has gone above and beyond to provide donations of baked goods, coffee, soup and more to our patients and loved ones. ” said incoming Executive Director Kathleen Bortolin.
The campaign runs until Sunday, May 5th, with 100% of the proceeds staying local.
