The CEO of a skincare company shares details on how to keep your skin looking youthful and firm.
However, he noted that some parts of the body tend to age faster than others, and offered some tips on how to turn back time.
Dr. Nayan Patel is a pharmacist, wellness expert, and CEO of Auro Wellness.
He listed some anti-aging tips that are all too often overlooked.
Dr Patel also spoke about how to address common issues such as under-eye bags.
He also detailed how to get to the root of your skin care issues.
Skin and sun
Dr Patel said it was important to protect the skin from free radical damage.
“Antioxidant support is essential for rejuvenating and protecting the skin,” he told the US Sun.
“Our skin is constantly exposed to free radicals, which puts oxidative stress on the skin, so making sure you have antioxidants present to scavenge all the free radicals helps keep the skin in balance.
“Adaptogens are important because they work with the body to ‘adapt’ to the skin’s needs.

“It provides anti-inflammatory benefits, stress relief, strengthens the skin barrier, and provides antioxidant support to the skin.”
Adaptogens, such as ashwagandha, are herbal remedies that help the body cope with stress.
Dr. Patel’s routine
Skincare experts share the three tips they swear by for their own skin.
“Drinking water is the best and only way to truly hydrate your skin,” he said.
“[Use a] Wash with a mild soap to avoid stripping your skin’s natural oils.
“[Eat a] Dietary essential fatty acids – Our skin is made of lipids, so fatty acids are essential for growing skin cells.”
He mentioned some common concerns he hears about skin elasticity.
“When I look at common skin problems, I always look to see what the underlying cause of the problem is,” he said.
“For example, if you’re concerned about bags under your eyes, the cause is often stress, lack of sleep, and unhealthy eating habits.
“Try to improve your lifestyle by meditating, getting better sleep, and incorporating healthier ingredients both topically and internally.”
He also mentioned some of the most neglected parts of the body when it comes to skin care.
“We often forget that, just like our faces, our hands are exposed to many free radicals every day, including UV rays and toxins that we come into contact with on a daily basis,” he says.
“At the same time, we don’t protect, nourish and support our hands as much as we do our faces, and we’re often surprised at how quickly our hands age.
“It’s important to maintain a balance between free radicals and antioxidant support.”
Auro Skincare provides both adaptogens and antioxidants following Dr. Patel’s protocol.
