LOCK HAVEN — In addition to its main location at 132 E. Main St., Lock Haven, Silver Bullet Wellness recently opened a room at Advanced Family Chiropractic, 3076 Eagle Valley Road, Mill Hall.
Husband and wife duo Sophia and Aidan Gscheidl founded Silver Bullet Wellness in 2023, which exclusively offers mobile massages.
Since then, the demand for bodywork has increased, creating a need for more space.
“We started as a mobile business last year but quickly ran into the problem of (customers) not wanting to come to their homes – maybe they have dogs, don’t have the space or have small children,” Aidan said.
“The mobile service was working well, but there was room to grow. We had a few people who were happy to have us come to their homes, but we really wanted to be able to serve people who weren’t interested in a mobile service,” Sophia says.
We opened our flagship store in January and our sales have increased significantly. Unfortunately, ADA accessibility issues still limited what we could do.
“We don’t have a lift so there’s no way to get up here. People call us wanting massages but they can’t come up to us and don’t want us to have them in their home,” Aidan said.
At Advanced Family Chiropractic, everything is on the first floor and is wheelchair accessible.
ADA accessibility isn’t the only issue the expansion will solve: In their main location, the couple is installing two massage tables, but there is only one open area.
“The big advantage of a chiropractic office is that it solves a problem we have here – we have two tables in the main location and can accommodate couples massages, but they can’t be booked at the same time,” Aidan says.
“When my schedule was full, even if he was free there was nowhere for me to meet. Now I can get appointments at both locations,” Sophia said.
The couple plan to operate at both locations and also cater to demand for in-home massages.
At Gscheidles, we offer a truly customized massage experience that focuses on balancing clinical and relaxing care for any pain.
They offer breathing exercise sessions and are known for their ability to restore mobility and reduce pain, as well as comprehensive aftercare.
The couple recently updated their website to make bookings easier for customers, allowing them to choose their preferred therapist and make individual appointments with a 30 percent deposit.
In addition to complimentary options like cupping, scraping, aromatherapy, and fascial taping, hot towels can be added for $6 and hot stones for $15, with a 30-minute facial option costing $45.
Customers can also purchase a “VIP package,” where if they book three of any type of massage, the fourth one is free.
“You have to buy everything up front, but you get a discount if you want to use it on a regular basis. You can use any of them within a two-year period. There’s no deposit required and you’ll be given a VIP booking link,” Sophia said.
As part of our new client offer, you will receive $20 off your first service.
“We want people to take advantage of it! We’re offering it to our existing customers as well, so if you’ve been to Silver Bullet before and want to take advantage of that offer, it’s available to anyone right now,” Aidan said.
For those interested, the pair also run a completely free blog called “The Rub!” where they explain a little bit of everything.
Aidan frequently blogs on topics that empower readers through education.
He also blogs about many tips and tricks that help ordinary people not only understand why certain parts of their body hurt, but also how to cure these pains at home.
