Leonardtown, Maryland – The St. Mary’s County Government Department of Aging is Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) The distribution event is Garvey Senior Activity Center, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Eligible senior participants will receive a total of $50 in QR-coded electronic rewards (debit) cards. These cards can be used at participating vendors for any amount up to $50. Cards are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. All funds must be redeemed by November 30, 2024.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for SFMNP, participants must meet the following criteria:
- Be 60 years of age or older
- Please show photo identification proving St. Mary’s County residency
- Meet the following income limits

Proxy designation
If a participant cannot attend the distribution event, a proxy may apply on their behalf. The following documents will be required on the day of distribution:
- A completed and signed copy of the most recent SFMNP application by the senior participant
- Copy of senior participant’s residence ID
- Photo ID of the representative
Power of attorney forms are available at the Garvey Senior Activity Center, 23630 Hayden Farm Lane in Leonardtown. Please note that SFMNP cards are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, so submitting a power of attorney does not guarantee that you will receive a card.
