Reveri, the clinically-backed self-hypnosis app, today marks its entry into the healthtech category with major changes to its brand look and feel.

Reverie was co-founded by Dr. David Spiegel, a world-leading psychiatrist from Stanford University with over 45 years of experience in clinical hypnosis, and Ariel Poehler, a Silicon Valley investor and technology leader, and was launched in the U.S. in 2020. It started with. There was no aggressive marketing. As a result of his efforts, reveri has grown his user base organically, with over 300,000 registered users.

To lead the rebrand, Revelli turned to Shoreditch-based design studio Mother Design to successfully communicate the brand’s proposition, break with traditional conventions in the wellness industry, and define Revelli’s entry into the self-society community. I posed the challenge of developing an aesthetic identity for myself. British hypnosis category.

Challenge? To build a unique and creative brand universe that strengthens Reverie’s position as a challenger brand in the mental health and wellness space.

The new visual identity combines Reverie’s philosophy as a brand with the functionality of its user interface as a product. In both hypnotic practice and user experience, the conceptual rigor that stems from the importance of “focal point” permeates every element of visual identity and unsettles every element of the user experience. From the in-app interface to Reveri’s own channels, including website and social.

Now, with a growing community of ambassadors and supporters, Reverie continues its mission to bring digital self-hypnosis to the masses, aiming for rapid growth in the UK and globally. This rebrand with his platform ‘Find Your Focus’ is the next step in showing consumers that hypnotherapy doesn’t have to be just a last resort. You can reap the benefits of an improved mind-body connection every day.

Louise Troen, chief marketing officer at reveri, said: From stage performances to pendulums to “sunken places,” myths ingrained in popular culture have given this practice a negative connotation and people associate it with a loss of control. Self-hypnosis is actually quite the opposite. It’s about gaining control and enabling practices that help recalibrate subconscious thought patterns, quitting vices, managing stress, and enabling healthier sleep. It’s amazing how powerful self-hypnosis can be, with no side effects, and often with immediate results. ”

“At Reverie, we are determined to challenge preconceptions, mainly because we know how instantaneous the effects of self-hypnosis can be. A key part of this is a considered visual identity that conveys the effectiveness, accessibility, and immediacy of the self-hypnosis pathways available through the app.Mother Design has taken this vision and brought it to life today, with a new and We are ready to introduce it to both existing communities.”

Harry Edmonds, Creative Director at Mother Design, added: We designed the landscape and avoided the self-help tool metaphor. One of the things that struck me early in reveri’s creative process was the intense focus that underpins the self-hypnosis technique. ”

Dr. Spiegel explained the analogy that hypnosis is similar to zooming in on a photograph and seeing surprising details in very specific areas while becoming less aware of your surroundings. This metaphor was a key inspiration for the entire art direction.

We introduced the concept of “focus” to everything from photos taken with long lenses and shallow depth of field to create a sharp focus between the subject and its surroundings. We also aim to capture unfiltered moments that convey honesty and empathy. Even iconography and illustrations. And of course the logotype. This is resolved for clarity by blurring, and the “title” (the dot above the i) is set to lowercase to emphasize it. We hope this new visual identity and brand system can reach more people and provide the same peace of mind and control that the growing Reverie community is already benefiting from. We pride ourselves on creating something that is beautiful and meaningful, and that we believe has a clear place within its category and broader design realm. ”

With a mission to create a world where everyone, everywhere can instantly benefit from self-hypnosis, Reveri offers a variety of pathways from pain management and stress relief to improving sleep and kicking bad habits. doing.
