The Wellbeing Chapter of the Singapore Corporate Law Association held a “Wellbeing Wednesday” luncheon at The Exchange, Marina View on 15 May 2024, focusing on conflict management and leveraging cultural intelligence.
The session featured Catherine Wu, lecturer at Nanyang Business School, who provided insights into how lawyers and compliance officers in the Asia-Pacific region can better manage workplace stress and conflict by understanding and applying cultural intelligence.
Wu explained how cultural awareness and conflict management skills can reduce anxiety in the workplace and improve professional interactions in multicultural environments.
Participants gained a deeper understanding of how cultural intelligence shapes conflict management styles and gained practical tools to enhance their competencies in multicultural environments. This intimate gathering not only focused on skills development but also aimed to contribute to individual and organizational well-being by fostering stronger intercultural relationships.
