Salah: Sanwo-Olu urges Nigerians to continue on path of spirituality and peace

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the celebration of Eid-ul-Kabir, calling on them to continue on the path of spirituality and peaceful coexistence and imbibe the lessons of sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.

President Sanwo-Olu stated this in an Eid al-Kabir message delivered by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosire, and further urged all Nigerians to remain hopeful and continue to work for unity, peace and progress in the country.

The Governor called on Nigerians and Lagosians to take some lessons from the example of Prophet Ibrahim by shunning tendencies that could disturb peace, unity and stability in the country, while assuring that as a leader he understands the current state of the country, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal Government level is working towards the speedy and complete recovery of the country’s economy.

“On behalf of my family and the Lagos State Government, I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Lagos State and Nigeria a happy and peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Kabir.

“Eid al-Adha is an iconic event in the history of humanity, given the rich rewards that were brought to us by the perseverance and fortitude of Prophet Ibrahim, who persevered in his faith in God despite hardships.

“This festival reminds us that if we have faith, persevere, pray and keep our faith during difficult times, we will surely reap great rewards.”

“As we celebrate Eid al-Kabir this year, I call on the people of Lagos, and Nigerians at large, to have hope for a better future.”

“Let us remain unwaveringly united and continue to have faith in the New Agenda of Hope of the President Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration,” Sanwo-Olu said.
