Rod Stewart and his son Liam will celebrate Father’s Day 2024 with a special cocktail.
In the video, filmed at the music icon’s Essex country home, the pair hilariously demonstrate how to make a “Rock Star Martini,” a spin on the popular “Porn Star Martini.”
“Welcome to our Father’s Day celebration,” Rod, 79, says at the start of the video. “My son Liam is going to teach you how to make a Rock Star Martini. And that rock star is me!”
Liam, 29, then plays bartender and mixes up all the ingredients for a martini: Rod Wolfie’s whiskey (substitute for vodka), passion fruit liqueur, vanilla syrup, lime juice and champagne.
Behind the scenes bloopers show Rod and Liam cracking even more jokes during filming.
“Family is incredibly important to me and I’m grateful to have so much time to spend with my kids in between traveling and touring,” Rod said in a statement. “I try to make sure we’re all together as much as possible. I love Father’s Day – it’s an excuse to get everyone together, right? We always toast to my dad, Robert, and this year we’ll be celebrating with Wolfie’s Rockstar Martinis – I know the whole family will be thrilled.”
Rod was recently reunited with all eight of his children at Liam and current wife Nicole Artukovic’s wedding in Croatia on Friday, May 31. (Rod also has Liam and 31-year-old daughter Renee with ex-wife Rachel Hunter, 59-year-old daughter Sarah with ex-girlfriend Susanna Boffey, 44-year-old daughter Kimberly and 43-year-old son Sean with ex-wife Alana Stewart, 36-year-old daughter Ruby with ex-girlfriend Kelly Enberg, and 18-year-old son Alastair and 13-year-old son Aiden with wife Penny Lancaster.)
This will be Liam’s second Father’s Day as a father, having welcomed one-year-old son Louis with Artukovic in May 2023. Father’s Day also marks Rod and Lancaster’s 17th wedding anniversary.
Rod Regan will return to the UK after the tour concludes at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin on Saturday 15 June, where he will celebrate his wedding anniversary with Lancaster, 53, and celebrate Father’s Day with his family.
In addition to touring, Rod has also been hard at work developing Wolfie’s Whiskey, which he explained to People magazine shortly after the brand’s launch in May 2023 was something he’d wanted to do “for a while.”
“I have a Scottish father, I have a lot of Scottish blood, I’m very proud of my Scottish heritage,” he said. “Whiskey is Scotland’s number one drink. I wouldn’t say it was a natural progression. I didn’t drink it before, but now I do. I actually love whiskey and I like putting it in cocktails, so I wish you great success.”
