“Biohacker” Brian Johnson has spoken about the latest surgery he’s undergoing to reverse his biological age.
While using his son’s blood to electrocute his penis was enough, Johnson, 46, has another plan in mind to reset his medical age to 18.
procedure
In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel on June 25, Johnson revealed that he had “300 million stem cells injected into my joint.”
And it wasn’t just any stem cells, it was “300 million young Swedish bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,” which he injected into not just parts of his body, but into his joints, shoulders, and hips.
but why?

why?
Well, Johnson’s caption reads: “Goal: to build superhuman joints that will match my total bone density, which places me in the top 99.8 percent at age 30.”
In the video, he explains to Dr. Steve Sampson that the goal of the project is to “rejuvenate” his “entire body” to how he looked when he was 18, and that the reason he came to see him is because he has “some discomfort” in his right shoulder as a result of playing a lot of sports as a child.
Johnson said he felt “weakness” in the area and scans showed there was “significant deterioration” in the joint.
Although he is no longer in pain, he is hoping to “eliminate the discomfort in my shoulder and also replenish the muscle tissue I have lost” in order to get back to the shape of an 18-year-old. [his] joint’.

Johnson hopes the surgery will help repair “wear and tear” in the joint. (YouTube/Brian Johnson)
how?
Despite a warning from Dr. Sampson that it was unclear how these cells would affect Johnson and his rejuvenation efforts, the self-proclaimed “biohacker” immediately got to work.
The Swedish bone marrow cells were stored in tanks of liquid nitrogen and traveled a whopping 5,000 miles to reach Johnson in the Bahamas.
They were then thawed and precisely injected into Johnson’s body with a needle 30 minutes before they were due to expire. The biohacker was given a small amount of local anesthetic beforehand to ease the pain. Johnson had to return for a second day’s injections to complete the rest of his body, despite some discomfort.
But what do stem cells actually do?

what?
“These stem cells are called medical signaling cells,” Dr. Sampson explains. “They’re like mobile paramedics.”
“Your body is made up of roughly 37 trillion cells circulating throughout your body, and when you injure yourself, say by getting out of a chair and slamming your knee, it triggers a trauma response that releases mobile cells called pericytes that travel to the area of injury.
“So we’re trying to mimic that response, and we’ve found in the published literature that these MSCs have the ability to significantly suppress or reduce inflammation.”
Johnson has yet to update fans on his post-surgery status or whether the procedure was successful, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
