Speaking to ANI at the Dehradun airport, Rajinikanth spoke about his spiritual journey. “I have undertaken many spiritual journeys, gaining new experiences every year. I believe that this time too will bring me new experiences,” he said, explaining how these journeys have helped him grow.
Rajinikanth spoke about why spirituality is important: “The whole world needs spirituality. It is important for every human being. Being spiritual means experiencing peace and tranquility and fundamentally it means having faith in God.”
Recently, Rajinikanth visited the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. Videos and pictures of Rajinikanth seeking blessings at the temple were posted on the official social media accounts of BAPS Hindu Temple.
Rajinikanth was awarded a Golden Visa by the UAE Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The veteran actor expressed gratitude to the Abu Dhabi government and his friend MA Yusuf Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group, for helping him get the visa. “I am extremely honoured to have been awarded the prestigious UAE Golden Visa by the Abu Dhabi government…,” said Rajinikanth in one of the viral videos.
On the acting front, Rajinikanth has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gunavel, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
Vettaiyan, Rajnikanth’s 170th film, is scheduled to be released worldwide in October this year. Earlier this month, Rajnikanth and Amitabh were spotted shooting a few scenes together in Mumbai. Amitabh shared a photo of himself and Rajnikanth with his fans on his Instagram account.
In the picture, Amitabh and Rajinikanth can be seen hugging each other and having a happy conversation.
Sharing the post, he wrote, “Pleasurably honoured and honored to be with Thala The Great Rajini once again. He hasn’t changed at all – the same simple, humble and down to earth friend despite his phenomenal greatness!!!”
Earlier, the makers had released the title teaser of the film on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday.
The film features an all-star cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier and Dussehra Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichandran has composed music for the film. Rajinikanth has been spotted shooting for the film in various locations including Trivandrum, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin.
Rajinikanth last appeared in the film Laal Salam, starring his daughter Aishwarya. The Tamil sports drama explored themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination and received mixed reviews when it was released. Laal Salam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles, with Rajinikanth having an extended cameo as Moideen Bai.
