Iconic superstar Rajinikanth, known for his profound spiritual quest, has embarked on another sacred journey to the Himalayas, this time to explore more of the revered caves of the region, continuing his annual tradition of pilgrimage.
After leaving Chennai, Rajinikanth reached Dehradun in Uttarakhand, where he shared an insight into his spiritual journey with the media. “Every year I get new experiences that make me want to return. I believe this journey too will give me unique insights,” he said, highlighting the personal growth that such retreats bring.
Rajinikanth spoke passionately about the importance of spirituality, saying, “The world needs spirituality. Spirituality brings peace and serenity that is rooted in fundamental faith in God.”

His spiritual endeavours are not limited to India. Recently, Rajinikanth visited the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. The temple’s social media channels shared images and videos of him seeking blessings, reflecting his deep connection to spirituality. Additionally, Rajinikanth was awarded the UAE’s prestigious Golden Visa through the good offices of his friend and Chairman of Lulu Group, MA Yusuf Ali. “It is a great honour to be awarded the UAE Golden Visa,” he said in a viral video, expressing his gratitude to the Abu Dhabi government.
On the work front, Rajinikanth has wrapped up the shooting of TJ Gnanavelu’s much-anticipated film Vettaiyan. The film, which will mark his 170th project, is scheduled for release worldwide in October. Rajinikanth stars alongside Amitabh Bachchan and the duo was recently spotted shooting in Mumbai. Amitabh shared a picture of them together on Instagram, writing in a heartfelt post, “Pleasure and honour to work with the great Rajini once again. Despite the immense fame he remains a humble and easy-going friend.”
The trailer of the film, which was released on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday, has already created a buzz. Vettaiyan features an all-star cast that includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier and Dussehra Vijayan and has music by Anirudh Ravichandran. Rajinikanth has been spotted shooting in various locations including Trivandrum, Tirunelveli and Tuticorin.
Rajinikanth previously starred in his daughter Aishwarya’s film Laal Salam, a Tamil-language sports drama that explored themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination. The film, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles, with Rajinikanth playing a key cameo role as Moideen Bai, received mixed reviews.
