Rajinikanth, known for his past spiritual journeys to the Himalayas, is now planning to explore many more sacred caves. He recently left Chennai and reached Dehradun, Uttarakhand to begin his journey. At the airport, he interacted with the media and shared his insights about his spiritual retreat.
Rajinikanth embarks on a spiritual journey
Speaking to ANI at the Dehradun airport, Rajinikanth spoke about his spiritual endeavours and said, “Every year I get a new experience that inspires me to continue my spiritual journey and I don’t think this time will be any different.” Stressing on the importance of spirituality, Rajinikanth said, “The world needs spirituality. It is essential for every individual. Being spiritual brings peace and serenity and at its core it involves faith in God.”

Recently, Rajinikanth also visited the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi and pictures and videos from his visit were shared on the temple’s official social media accounts. The UAE’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism awarded Rajinikanth with the prestigious Golden Visa.
Rajinikanth expressed gratitude to the Abu Dhabi government and his friend MA Yusuf Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group, for helping him get the visa. “It is an immense honour to receive the prestigious UAE Golden Visa from the Abu Dhabi government,” he said in the viral video.
What’s next for Rajinikanth?
Rajinikanth has recently wrapped filming for his upcoming movie Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gunavel and co-starring Amitabh Bachchan. The film will be Rajinikanth’s 170th film and is scheduled for global release in October this year. Earlier this month, Rajinikanth and Amitabh were spotted shooting scenes together in Mumbai.
Rajinikanth’s most recent outing was in his daughter Aishwarya’s film Laal Salam, a Tamil-language sports drama about caste oppression and religious discrimination that received mixed reviews. Laal Salam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant in the lead roles, with Rajinikanth having an extended cameo as Moideen Bai.
