teeth Rachel Revis Thinking of getting baptized? Well, not exactly. But the former Vanderpump Rules star has been associated with the Mormon Church, or, as it’s formally known, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The overlap between this sect and reality TV is staggering: Lala Kent grew up in Utah and was famously influenced by the church, and of course, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs in a supposed religious capital, so it’s bound to have religious ties.
So what was Rachel’s relationship with religion like? Let’s hear from the former star herself.
Rachel’s confession while in rehab
In the latest episode of the podcast, Rachel opened up about her feelings on spirituality: “One of the things I noticed very quickly when I got to The Meadows was, [rehab facility] It was this element of spirituality that they incorporated into their therapy model.”
Before her rehab journey began, Rachel admitted that she “didn’t have a connection with a higher power.” Instead, she thought she was “putting men in the position of my higher power and looking to them for answers.” She went on to explain, “That’s how I ended up in codependency. So right away, I was like, OK, spirituality is interesting.”
So, with that realization weighing on her mind, Rachel sought entry into holiness. “Since then, I’ve incorporated that spirituality into my daily life and I go to church on Sundays,” she explained. She added, “I went to a Mormon church. A friend took me to a Mormon church,” but wouldn’t say anything more about Mormonism.
Though Rachel didn’t ultimately choose Mormonism, she found something fulfilling: “I’ve found a spiritual community here now, and it makes all the difference in the world because the people in this community are looking for something bigger than themselves.”
“Vanderpump Rules” is available to stream on Peacock.
