Rachel Revis has embarked on a spiritual journey, as she revealed in a podcast. Rachel rebels.
In the latest episode, the former Vanderpump Rules The star spoke about her experience in rehab where she sought help for her mental health and trauma treatment.
The 29-year-old actress also spoke about her exploration of spirituality, including a visit to the Mormon church, as she embarks on her path to healing and self-discovery.
“One of the things I noticed as soon as I checked into The Meadows was [rehab facility] “It was this element of spirituality that they were incorporating into their therapy model,” Revis explained.
Before entering a rehab facility in California, she admitted that she “did not have a relationship with a higher power” and that she “put men in the position of my higher power and looked to them for answers.”
The former pageant queen continued, “So that’s how I got into codependency. So I quickly thought, OK, spirituality is interesting.”
The reality TV star continued that the pastor has helped her on her spiritual path, as she is still recovering from her “Scandalbal” affair with ex-husband Tom Sandoval.
“Since then, I’ve incorporated that spirituality into my daily life and I go to church on Sundays,” she said. “I went to a Mormon church. My friends took me to a Mormon church.”
Revis went on to explain the importance of spirituality to her.
“I’ve found a spiritual community here now, and it’s world-changing because the people in this community are looking for something bigger than themselves,” she said.
Following this revelation, Revis recently said she wanted to use the nickname “Rocky” instead of “Raquel” to clarify her former identity.
