business wire indiaIn a significant step towards integrating Ayurvedic practices with modern medicine, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University under the auspices of the Ministry of AYUSH (Government of Uttarakhand) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pune-based Rasayu Cancer Clinic Did. The objective of this collaboration is to provide specialized training on Ayurveda and cancer to his AYUSH government doctors in Uttarakhand. This is an unprecedented achievement not only for Rasayu but also for the field of Ayurveda.
To commemorate this, a four-day workshop was recently organized by Ayurvedic experts at Rasayu Cancer Clinic in Pune. Dr. Yogesh Bendale, Dr. Avinash Kadam and Dr. Priyanka Shoule participated in this workshop. The workshop was launched by doctor. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, secretary – Ayush & ayush education, uttarakhand. Dr. Yogesh Bendale, Professor, Rasayu Group Pune, Dr. AK, Dr. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, Dr. Anup Gakhard, Dr. Krishna Kumar Pandey, Assistant Drug Controller, Dr. Ajay Gupta, Research Founder Dr. Avinash Kadam, Head of Research and Education, Rasayu Group, Faculty of Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, was present on the occasion.
In this effort to provide safe and effective cancer treatment, the partnership also aims to showcase research and published papers based on Ayurvedic principles and real-world patient treatment and research findings. Recognizing the importance of early detection of cancer, this specialized training helps these doctors develop advanced knowledge and skills in treating cancer using Ayurvedic principles. Dr. Pankaj Pandey expressed hope that this will be an important step in the collaboration between Ayurveda and modern medical methods. Ayurvedic medical practitioners from Uttarakhand participated in this program.
Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that for the benefit of patients, there is a need for mutual cooperation rather than conflict between different healthcare systems. He appreciated the efforts taken by Rasayu Cancer Clinic to build trust in its research and publication on global platforms and popularization of Ayurveda. He also said that doctors and patients in Uttarakhand had an opportunity to treat cancer through Ayurveda.
Dr. Yogesh Bendale said that most cancer patients in India are diagnosed at a more advanced stage and there are additional challenges in treating these patients. Ayurvedic treatment for such patients improves the overall outcome and improves the patient’s quality of life. In such cases, Ayurveda has great potential to provide safe and effective treatment to cancer patients.
Dr. AK Tripathi highlighted modern research in cancer immunology and highlighted the role of Ayurvedic Rasayan therapies that have the potential to improve outcomes for cancer patients.
Also, the collaboration between Uttarakhand Ayurveda University and Rasayu Cancer Clinic will help train future Ayurvedic doctors in the field of Ayurvedic oncology and guide research-based treatments.
