During his visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two Ministry of Health institutes on February 25, which will further boost holistic healthcare in the country. The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), named ‘NISARG GRAM’ in Pune, Maharashtra, and the ‘Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy’ (CRIYN) in Jhajjar, Haryana, will be virtually opened to the public by the Prime Minister on February 25, 2024.

NISARGA – NIN PUNE
NISARG GRAM is a 250-bed hospital with a multi-disciplinary research and extension service centre and also houses a naturopathic medical college for undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and para-medical courses. The college also has residential and non-residential facilities like male and female hostels, auditorium, yoga hall, cottages and the famous Gandhi Memorial also forms an integral part of the campus. The total cost of the 25-acre project is INR 213.55 crore.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the Central Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy, Jhajjar (Haryana), built with the support of the Ministry of Ayurveda, Government of India. It is a premier Yoga and Naturopathy research and teaching facility. A tertiary level Yoga and Naturopathy healthcare infrastructure will be created through the project. The institute will include a 200-bed hospital with OPD, treatment, academic, hostel and residential buildings, apart from a yoga and catering building. The 19-acre project has been built at a cost of INR 6,388 crore.

The National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN), Pune and the Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN), Deverkana village, Jhajjar, are important milestones in promoting holistic healthcare through traditional healthcare systems. Utilizing diverse approaches such as hydrotherapy, massage, clinical nutrition and yoga therapy, these institutes prevent and address emerging healthcare challenges, especially the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). With state-of-the-art infrastructure and educational programs, these institutes empower individuals to prioritize their health and well-being.
