Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been on a nationwide tour campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, is scheduled to arrive at the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Tamil Nadu’s Kanniyakumari district on May 30 for a spiritual retreat.
Modi, 73, will undertake a 24-hour meditation during his stay at the memorial, the same place where Swami Vivekananda meditated.
The picturesque Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located near a monolithic statue of Tamil saint Thiruvalluvar in the sea off the coast of Kanniyakumari, India’s southernmost tip. The chief minister, who is seeking a third term, is expected to arrive here on Thursday night and is likely to leave for Delhi on June 1.
The massive seven-phase Lok Sabha elections close on June 1. Results will be counted on June 4.
Ahead of the results of the 2019 Indian Lok Sabha elections, a saffron-robed Prime Minister Modi was photographed meditating in a sacred cave near Kedarnath.

The Congress party, hamstrung by electoral defeats and mass defections, is facing off against the BJP as part of India’s opposition coalition.
Asking his ministers to draw up an action plan for the first 100 days of his administration, the Prime Minister spoke to NDTV about the road to success, highlighting scope, scale, speed and skill.
