Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday completed a 45-hour meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu, and paid floral tributes to Tamil saint-poet Thiruvalluvar.
The Prime Minister undertook a spiritual journey that lasted for approximately 45 hours, from the evening of May 30th to the evening of June 1st.
He continued to meditate day and night at the Dhyan Mandapam, the same place where Swami Vivekananda meditated.
He was meditating at Dhyan Mandapam, the place where revered Hindu philosopher Swami Vivekananda is believed to have had a divine vision of ‘Bharat Mata’.
This coincides with the end of voting in the final phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

According to mythology, Goddess Parvati also meditated on one leg at the same spot while waiting for Lord Shiva.
It is the southernmost point of India. It is also where the east and west coasts of India meet, and where the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea meet.
PM Modi is sending a signal of national unity by visiting Kanniyakumari.
Prime Minister Modi wrapped up his campaign in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, on Thursday, ahead of the final phase of the general elections on June 1.
The Prime Minister held around 206 campaign events, including rallies and roadshows, in 75 days. He also gave around 80 interviews to various news and media platforms.
The prime minister is known to undertake spiritual journeys at the end of election campaigns – in 2019 he visited Kedarnath and in 2014 he visited Shivaji’s Pratapagarh.
Elections to India’s 543-seat lower house of parliament will be held in seven phases starting on April 19. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
