The Office of Community Living (ACL) begins observing Older Adults Month (OAM) every May. Its purpose is to “recognize the contribution of older people, highlight aging trends, and reaffirm our commitment to serving older people” in our communities. Plano Parks & Recreation will host its 21st Annual Senior Information & Wellness Fair on Wednesday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“This unique event provides retirees and pre-retirees with a wealth of information to enhance their ability to plan for the future. They can take home information about the many services available in the area,” the City of Plano said in a news release. “This fun and informative event (complete with door prizes and food trucks) is free and open to all.”
More than 50 vendors will be on site to provide free information and services on a variety of important topics, including senior living options, financial planning, funeral pre-planning, insurance, and more.
