James Matthews, brother-in-law of the Princess of Wales, is opening Buckleberry Farm Park further to visitors.
The 48-year-old hedge fund manager, who married Duchess Kate’s sister Pippa in 2017, bought the 72-acre farm in 2021 for £1.5 million.
And now, the park has confirmed via its Instagram page that the lodge is now available for rental. “Birthday parties, corporate events, yoga sessions, Pilates, etc.”
Located in the beautiful Pan Valley of West Berkshire, this exclusive lodge has three rooms with fully functional kitchens and shower rooms.
Snaps shared on Instagram show a chic farmhouse-style interior with wooden beams, a wood burner and an outdoor deck.
“Whether you need to organize a corporate meeting space, a photoshoot location, a pop-up shop or gallery, a lecture, class, demonstration seminar, etc., this is the perfect place.” is stated on the website.
And Lodge has already been hired by one of Pippa’s family members, her brother James Middleton, to do on-location filming for his mail-order dog food company, Ella & Company.
The farm park is located approximately two miles from Buckleberry Manor, the home of the Middleton family, and features a deer park, play shed and cafe. The petting zoo is reportedly a particular favorite of Prince George, who was taken there by his grandmother Carole Middleton when he was a toddler.
Pippa and her husband James traded their Chelsea townhouse for a £15 million Georgian mansion just 20 minutes from Buckleberry Farm Park in 2022. The couple are parents to Arthur, 5, Grace, 3, and Rose, 1.
back to her roots
Like her sister Kate, Pippa was born at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and raised in Bucklebury. She was educated at St. Andrew’s School in Pangbourne, after which she moved to Down House School and then to Marlborough College, where she won a sports/all-rounder’s scholarship.
Pippa continued her passion for sport into her adult life, taking on numerous challenges over the years, including a 3,000-mile race across America and a 6.5km swim meet in Istanbul.
After graduating with an English degree from Edinburgh University, Pippa shared a flat with Kate in Chelsea, and the sisters were often spotted on nights out together in London in their early 20s. She also served as Duchess Kate’s maid of honor on her wedding day to Prince William in 2011.
In 2022, Pippa completed a postgraduate master’s degree in Physical Education, Sport and Physical Literacy at Trinity St David’s, University of Wales.
Her book Celebrate, with tips on entertaining and party planning, was released in 2012, and she also wrote a column for Waitrose Kitchen Magazine.
