Heavy dumbbells can create mechanical overload, but medium-weight dumbbells combined with high frequency (to fatigue) can create metabolic overload.”
One of Garcia’s favorite exercises when it comes to weight training is the glute bridge. This video Garcia posted a photo of himself doing it with large dumbbells on Instagram, captioning the post:This is a huge win for some, and a warm-up set for others 😭 But even when I was powerlifting and squatting 225lbs, I always neglected to strengthen and build my glutes. I started at 95lbs and have steadily increased over the last 8-12 weeks, finally getting to 135lbs. Could I have done this faster? Yes. Would my form suffer? Yes, lol. This is not a competition :’) Happy Monday!!!”
