P&HCC Graduation Speaker
Patrick & Henry Community College announced that the commencement address for P&HCC’s 2024 graduation ceremony will be delivered by Kate Keller, president of the Harvest Foundation.
Mr. Keller joined the Foundation in July 2020 after serving as Vice President of Strategy and Policy for Interact for Health, a community health-focused foundation serving the Greater Cincinnati area.
She is a member of the 39th class of Cincinnati’s Leadership Class and received the National Outstanding Achievement Award from the School-Based Health Alliance in 2012. In 2012, she was named a Terrance Keenan Emerging Leader Fellow by her health sector grant.
Keller currently serves on the board of Sovah Health and previously served on the boards of Springer School, Philanthropy Ohio, Tri-State Veteran’s Community Alliance, and School-Based Health Alliance. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Cincinnati.

P&HCC’s graduation ceremony will be held May 11 at 10 a.m. in Stone Hall Gymnasium.

Farm Market Fresh, or Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Seniors in Virginia, is available through the Southern Area Agency on Aging (SAAA).
Eligible seniors will receive a $50 voucher that can be used to purchase locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables and cut herbs at participating farmers markets, but the number of participants is limited. It is being
Starting April 16, SAAA will accept applications by phone and in person. We will also continue to accept applications for the next week while supplies last for the $50 booklet.
To be eligible, you must be 60 years of age or older on or before June 1st. Be a resident of the City of Martinsville, Henry County, Patrick County, Franklin County, City of Danville, or Pittsylvania County. You may not live with or have any direct relationship with the farmers who grow your produce. Household monthly income does not exceed the program’s income requirements.
Individuals and couples wishing to apply for a voucher should contact the Southern Area Agency on Aging at 276-632-6442 or toll-free at 1-800-468-4571. Applicants must be prepared to demonstrate their gross monthly household income information when applying over the phone or in person.
