The Peru Public Library (1409 11th St.) will host Wellness Wednesdays on May 15 with free blood pressure and blood sugar testing.
The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and no reservations are required. A 12-hour food and drink fast is recommended for more accurate blood sugar test results.

Monday, May 13th 9:30am to 10:30am: Books and Babies, Children’s Library. Target age range is 6 weeks to 24 months.
Story time is followed by activities and crafts.
Tuesday, May 14th from 10am to noon: Color Me Calm, lower floor meeting room. Visit the library to color, drink coffee, and socialize. Coffee, coloring sheets, colored pens and pencils will be provided. This program is intended for adults only.
Tuesday, May 14th 6:30pm to 7:30pm: 20 & 30 Something Book Club. Is there anyone in their 20s or 30s who loves reading? Join us at the library to discuss this month’s books. Please join us.
May 16th (Thursday) 9:30am-10:30am: Thursday Tots, Children’s Library. For children aged 1 to 3 years. Story time is followed by activities and crafts.
Thursday, May 16th from 10am to 11:30am: Illinois Valley La Leche League. This conference will be hosted by Samantha Whiteaker. This free monthly breastfeeding and information support group welcomes expectant mothers, infants, and toddlers. While you’re at the library, check out our resources for young children.
