People always ask me if I’ve had Botox.

When it comes to skincare routines, beauty enthusiasts only learn from the legendary Audrey Hepburn.

While many assume she uses Botox, she’s simply following the life advice from the Breakfast at Tiffany’s star.

A Reddit user posted that they’re always curious about how people get her skin color.

“I’m in my mid-30s and friends and colleagues often ask me about skin care. They ask if I’ve ever had Botox, lasers, etc. and here’s my opinion,” she said.

She explained that she owes her glow to just one icon.

“I remember Audrey Hepburn once said that good skin and beauty come from water, not from gossip, and I loved that quote,” she said.

“If you’re a good person, you look good. That stuck with me,” she continued.

She wasn’t taking the wise words from the actress who played Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s lightly.

She started taking care of her skin at a young age, but her preventative measures weren’t always well-received.

“When I was a teenager, my friends used to tease me about SPF. [on] “I don’t do facelifts or succumb to the tanning salon trend,” she continued.

Now that her skin is smooth, they’re probably not laughing.

But her anti-aging regimen didn’t end there.

I am 54 and have no visible wrinkles. My mother told me to use a moisturizer.

She started using retinol in her early twenties.

As she approached her 30s, she consulted with a dermatologist and developed a new preventative strategy.

“I’ve taken in acid and vitamin C,” she said.

“I learned where I could save money on things like cleansers, moisturizers, and covered tretinoin, and where I should spend it, like Vitamin C serum, P50 Exfoliate Lotion, etc.”

If you’re looking to try something more affordable, Elbbub Vitamin C Serum is on sale for $9.99 on Amazon.

Anti-Aging Tips

  • Keep your skin hydrated from the inside out by drinking water and from the outside by using a moisturizer.
  • Be sure to use sunscreen even if you are not in direct sunlight.
  • Use Vitamin C to brighten your skin and don’t forget to apply it to your neck.

Now, the 35-year-old has made some small tweaks to her routine, including getting baby Botox injections around her eyes.

She also owns microneedling, which she uses occasionally for “self-care,” followed by her favorite serums from Skinceuticals and Estee Lauder ANR.

Yet another trick is using a derma roller to combat stretch marks, but she also has one specifically for the face.

And she still gets attention — in a good way.

“I think water really does play a role. People often tell me I drink a lot of it,” she said.

Apparently Ms. Hepburn was right about that all along.

“I’ve noticed that my skin looks so much better when I exercise,” she says.
