This book is about God’s promises. When we return His Word to Him in the form of prayer, He is faithful to answer us. In 1990, Addie was reading the Bible when a Bible verse struck a chord with her. ) 13 “I have placed a rainbow in the clouds, a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring a cloud to the earth, and a rainbow appears in the cloud, 15 “And you, and every living creature of every kind, will never again be flooded with water to destroy every living creature.” 16 Whenever a rainbow appears in the clouds, I look at it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every creature of every kind. 17 Then God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all the living things on earth” (Genesis 9:13-17).
As she began to meditate on these verses, she noticed a rainbow in the sky. This was a confirmation that God was leading her to begin writing down her divine promises in the form of her prayers and confessions. For 1990, she followed the guidance of the Holy Spirit and collected these prayers in her hope and faith that they would help many people.
From 1990 to 2004, Addie’s ministry fed and clothed thousands of homeless people in her city as a result of asking God for a purpose in her life. She quit her job and opened a homeless shelter for men who are homeless and struggling with addiction. She was strongly supported by the church until God started moving her in a different direction. As Team Leader for Intercessory Prayer, she also created the Intercessory Prayer Instruction Manual. She continues her ministry every chance she gets. Addie has compassion for lost people who need to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior so that they can experience the love and abundant life secured to the world by Jesus’ death.
