The Humane Educational Society has partnered with Club Pilates North Shore to bring together fitness enthusiasts and animal lovers, and Club Pilates will host a special “Pups and Pilates” session on Friday at 3 p.m., featuring puppies and kittens that have been adopted from HES’ shelter.
Gaby Mann, manager of Club Pilates North Shore, said: “Participants will be able to work out with the best workout partners possible and we’re excited to have the opportunity to share and collaborate with like-minded organisations whilst increasing referrals within the community and supporting a fantastic cause.”
Participants will have the opportunity to stretch, move and wag their tails alongside adoptable animals for a unique and memorable athletic experience.
Cost to attend the class is $35, with all proceeds going directly to the Humane Educational Society.
“We invite all HES supporters to take part in this special event,” said Chris Atib, HES Development Director. “As well as enjoying great exercise, your participation will help us continue to care for and find new homes for animals in need in our community.”
Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat. In addition to the class, a donation list will be provided at the studio for those wishing to further contribute to the care and welfare of HES animals.
