On Saturday, June 8, join us for the third annual Paddle for a Purpose and benefit Hearty Roots, a Maine nonprofit dedicated to creating programs for children that foster connection, adventure and life skills experiences.
The Damariscotta River paddle starts at Glidden Point Oyster Farm in Edgecomb and ends at Shack Station in Newcastle, where a private party with live music from Primo Cuban and an auction will be held. Paddlers can team up, dress up in costumes, decorate their boats and head up the river at their own pace.
Tickets are $100 for adults and $35 for children over 12 and are an all-inclusive package that includes shuttle service from town to Glidden Point Oyster Farm, breakfast and coffee, a souvenir Paddle for a Purpose cup, one drink ticket, admission to the party and a base donation to Hearty Roots. Tickets for the party only are $25 for adults and $15 for children over 12. Children under 12 are free.
