SINGAPORE — Health and wellness enthusiasts can look forward to a variety of wellness experiences at this year’s third annual Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS).
From June 21st to July 21st, festival attendees can enjoy a variety of fitness and meditation activities such as sound meditation and yoga, as well as art and lifestyle programs such as art jamming and nature walks .
The month-long festival, an extension of last year’s three-week event, will feature more than 75 partners from the wellness, lifestyle and hospitality industries and more than 120 programs. Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said in a press release on Thursday, April 18, that the program will be implemented in six districts across the island, conveniently located near iconic districts and public transport links.
Ong Lin Lee, Executive Director of Sports and Wellness at STB, said: “With more travelers prioritizing wellness, Singapore is well positioned to become a leading urban wellness destination that prioritizes overall wellbeing. I think there is,” he said.
“Glow Festival by Prudential” anchor event
WFS 2024 will launch a new anchor event “Glow Festival by Prudential”, a collaboration between STB and Exceed Sports and Entertainment. Held from July 5th to 21st at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza and Rain Oculus, the venue will feature over 70 classes, workouts and workshops organized by Lululemon and Grow partners at Pure International. , world-famous ambassadors and famous local talents will appear.
This year’s festival will also introduce new technology-driven sensory-rich wellness experiences, including a one-of-a-kind light, sound and frequency therapy experience (The Oracle by Alpha Wave) and a virtual boxing and taekwondo experience (Virtual) . Reality Workout Zone with Refract Technologies).
Participants can also participate in breathing exercises, meditation, and sound healing sessions. Participate in expressive art creation with sustainable fashion company Cloop. Contribute to special collective artwork. There will also be a health-themed food and beverage and retail bazaar.
Other festival highlights and activities
Another major program and activation is CapitaLand’s wellness and community festival, Live It Up! More than 90 wellness activities will be held at participating CapitaLand malls and workspace facilities, including group fitness workouts, mental wellness workshops, and health-related fairs. The first “Live It Up!” community run will also be held on June 29th.
Meanwhile, the National Gallery will be holding “The Gallery Wellness Special 2024”, with 10 carefully selected programs showcasing works of art and sticker art, catering to the needs of all age groups. Marina Bay Sands will also host a range of activities under its ‘A Place for Mind and Body’ programme, including sound meditation, Soul Flow, Pilates, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. The 60-minute class is held every morning at the SkyPark Observation Deck.
The Orchard Road precinct will also host activities such as bouldering, yoga, spinning and Pilates, as well as a selection of culinary experiences focused on sustainability and wellness.
Other notable activities include a Zumba dance session and paint art jam by Madame Tussauds Singapore, hyperbaric oxygen therapy by COMO Shambala Singapore, an evening nature walk at Bukit Batok Nature Park, and bum boat rides.
