The Ohio Beef Council (OBC) Steering Committee, which is responsible for beef checkoff demand-building investments in the state, recently expanded its focus on beef nutrition by creating a full-time position. Anna Guest of Grafton, Ohio, will serve as nutrition education program manager. Mr Guest most recently served as part-time nutrition coordinator for the city council.
Our guest is a registered dietitian who has been working at OBC since 2018. As the Nutrition Education Program Manager, Guest will collaborate with medical professionals, health organizations, educators, and school nutrition stakeholders to share beef, nutrition, and health information. She also helps create digital and social media campaigns related to beef as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Guest is a graduate of Ohio State University and also holds a master’s degree from Kent State University. She previously worked as a hospital dietitian. She and her husband Andy have a small feedlot and grain farm in Lorain County.
“Expanding our focused talent resources will allow our team to build stronger connections within the professional human health and nutrition industry. This strategic approach will undoubtedly help us grow the demand for beef. It will enhance our ability to fulfill our mission of promoting and creating,” said Erin Stickel, Ohio Beef Council President and Wood County Beef Producer.
