This isn’t Marvel’s first cookbook — the publisher previously published a Deadpool cookbook — but the book is expected to be just as popular as the web-slinger himself.

Spider-Man heroes Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and more all hail from New York City in their respective universes, making it a veritable melting pot of cultures and ethnicities. Spider-Man: The Official Cookbook: A friendly neighborhood guide to the cuisine of New York, the Spider-Verse, and beyond Written by Jermaine McLaughlin, Paul Eschbach, and Von Diaz, this just-published book from Marvel is packed with background on Marvel characters and family-inspired recipes.

Spider-Man: The Official Cookbook Full of Spider-Man’s favorite foods

An unmasked Spider-Man stands at the window, bringing food and flowers and speaking to Mary Jane. "Admit it, Tigers, you really hit the jackpot!"

The authors put a lot of thought into which recipes and Marvel characters to include. “Spider-Man is New York City. Over the years, so many incredible writers and artists have depicted the incredible landscapes that define Peter’s New York. I hope this cookbook adds to that legacy.”Spider-verse friends also appear hereLuke Cage has a recipe for Christmas Log.Merry Christmas!” There will also be Wong’s Chai Tea Latte, perfect for the Sorcerer Supreme to relax.

The main characters’ families are also featured. Aranitas are a Puerto Rican fried banana snack that Miles Morales undoubtedly ate as a child, but they also fit perfectly in this book because aranita means “little spider.” Ghost Spider’s eggplant parmesan reflects her love of her father and his home cooking, but mixing red sauce with a white superhero costume is a bad idea. Peter Parker also has favorite foods: pastrami sandwiches and Aunt May’s wheatcakes. Along with appetizers, entrees, and desserts, the book also features Recipes for all skill levels From beginner to expert in the kitchen.

Recipes from all over Spider-Man’s New York

Marvel's Spider-Man's gameplay and visuals are mindlessly enjoyable, like eating junk food.

Spider-Man’s New York City is very much the theme of this book. Writer Von Diaz added:“I can’t imagine a better person to explore the city’s culinary delights than Spider-Man. He can see and smell everything the city has to offer, and get to know the different flavors and cultures that make New York so special and unique.” The chapters are organized by borough: Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Black and White Cookies, a New York Favorite It also includes a slice of Grandma’s pizza, so even if fans can’t come, Spiderman’s The Big Apple, they can bring it home.
