ISLAMABAD, April 25 (APP): Nutrition International has gifted CDR food laboratory machinery to the Islamabad Food Authority (IFA), promising faster and more accurate food testing in the federal capital.
Tahira Sadiq, Deputy Director General of Operations (DDO) of Islamabad Food Authority (IFA), told APP that the high-tech equipment will enable the authorities to more effectively test the quality of edible oil and milk, and will help the city. He said this would ensure safer food for residents of the area.
She said that with the help of this machine, IFA would overcome the major problem of spoiled oil in the city and the agency would be able to test oil on the spot using this mobile machine.
Nutrition International, a global organization focused on improving nutrition, made the donation at a ceremony in Islamabad.

The occasion was attended by Mr. Zameer Haider, National Manager, Ministry of International Nutrition, Mr. Irfan Nawaz Memon, Director General, Food Department, and key officials of the Food Department.
Tahira said the new CDR Food Lab machine is an important upgrade to the Food Authority’s inspection process.
This will enable rapid testing of food products and will help authorities maintain strict quality standards. The accuracy of machines that test edible oil and milk can help prevent substandard products from entering the market.
