“A significant portion of travel bookings in India are made on a voluntary basis,” the paper said, adding that 46% of domestic flights were booked less than a week before the travel date. “In contrast, about half of international flight reservations are made at least two weeks in advance.”
For international travel, 30% of all searches from India were to Dubai, Bangkok and Singapore, the report said. “London, Toronto and New York are the most searched long-haul destinations,” the paper said.
The report also highlights that searches for emerging international destinations also increased many-fold in 2023, including Hong Kong, Almaty, Paro, Baku, Danang, Tbilisi, and more.
