Indian smart wearable brand Noise on Tuesday (May 21) announced a slew of new features for its Luna Ring. Luna Ring is the company’s first wearable smart ring, launched in July 2023, and is equipped with a skin temperature sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer, and an infrared photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to perform health monitoring functions. With the latest update, the Noise Luna Ring now comes with even more features supported by an artificial intelligence (AI) wellness coach called Luna AI.

Noise says the new AI-powered features make Luna Ring “your personalized health companion, anytime.” With the update, Luna Ring can now track fitness metrics with AI-driven actionable insights. The company says Luna Ring will provide customized suggestions by learning your sleep habits, health goals, activity levels, and sleep patterns. The AI features are trained with algorithms and anonymous data from 20 million users, and also incorporate insights from health experts. Here are three highlights of the update:
1. Ask me anything – This feature allows users to get personalized recommendations based on their fitness data and answers to their questions from Luna AI, an AI-powered wellness coach.
2. Insights into the body – Providing deeper insight into the body’s rhythms and signals, wearers can optimize their health while also receiving personalized suggestions.
3. Personal coach and nutritionist – Luna AI customizes your training routine based on your fitness goals and also provides nutritional recommendations using biomarkers.
Announcing the AI-powered Wellness Coach and other updates, Noise co-founder Amit Khatri said, “We are excited to offer the first product globally to integrate AI into a smart ring. Although recently introduced as a form factor, the role of AI is proving to be a game changer in realizing its full potential.”
Noiz said the AI insights and other features are currently being rolled out in beta and may be available to all users in the coming weeks. The Luna Ring is priced at Rs 21,999 and is available in seven sizes. It can be purchased via the brand’s website.
