In his message at the opening ceremony of the Tribunal for the Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, held on Tuesday, May 21, Bishop Simeon Okezuo Nowobi, “Today we come together to begin a journey of faith not only for the Archdiocese of Benin City and the Diocese of Ahiara, but for the Church in Nigeria and the whole world.”
“We are bound together by lives of purity and martyrdom. We are bound together by wonderful young souls,” said the Nigerian Ahiara Parish his Schedule for May 3 Added.
He emphasized that from an early age, Vivian “displayed an extraordinary depth of spirituality and a deep love for the Lord.”

He added: “Vivian’s life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless compassion and unwavering devotion to God.”
“Even though she was young, she embodied the virtues that many of us strive to embody throughout our lives. Her love for others was boundless, she selflessly served those in need, comforted those suffering and, like the saints, she preached the Gospel wherever she went,” Bishop Nwobi said.
Leaders of the Catholic Church in Nigeria Appointed The bishop, who was appointed auxiliary bishop and titular see of Rusguniae last October, further praised Vivian as someone who is “an example for young people and a challenge to their modern way of life.”
“Vivian reminds us that holiness is not confined to monasteries or hermitages, but is possible in the everyday life of those who choose to follow Christ with their whole hearts,” he said.
“Her deep relationship with God helped her to stand firm in the face of adversity and impending martyrdom, making her a model of faith and virtue for our times,” the Catholic bishops said, adding: “In a spirit of joy and hope, we entrust this cause to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all the saints.”
“May Vivian’s example inspire us to live our faith with renewed zeal and to seek God’s will in all things,” Bishop Novi implored.
