A new store selling spiritual items such as crystals, incense and oracle cards has opened in north Norfolk.
Liz Hobbs is already well known in the local spiritual community and organiser of the monthly Mind, Body, Spirit Fair in Aylsham, but has recently secured a brick-and-mortar shop on Market Street in North Walsham.
Heart and Soul Emporium sells everything from locally produced crafts, clothing and books to more specialist mediumship equipment.
But to her, the store is more than just a place to make money.
She said spirituality has been a real source of comfort for her since she suffered a nervous breakdown about 12 years ago.

“I’m also a parent of a child in special education, so it’s really good to have something to focus on,” she said.
“A lot of the people I’ve met through Aylsham Fair have become really good friends, it’s great to have that kind of support network.
“We hope that by creating that same sense of community with this store, we can help others.”
Joshua Arbery, a healer, Reiki master and tarot reader from Norwich, has been helping Hobbs organise events to bring people together and spread the word.
On Saturday, July 6th, they invited people to try out a few different treatments and pay only what the experience was worth.
And on Friday, September 13, Arbery will be collaborating with his team at nearby Cafe Kitale.
For just GBP 25 per person you can enjoy a buffet dinner and a personalized tarot reading.
“I think it’s a really good thing for people,” Avery said.
“When I go to a mediumship evening, it’s usually a group event and only a few people in the audience get the message.
“Doing tarot at tea time in the evening means everyone can take something away.”
The couple believe local people will respond positively to such an event because of the support they’ve had for their store so far.
“Obviously there are some skeptics, but the vast majority of people have been really nice and really supportive,” she said.
“All in all, it’s good to have another shop opening in the town – ours is something a little different which gives people a reason to come down to North Walsham.”
“Hopefully we can create a tradition here that will continue for years to come.”
