Historic Appointment for Pender County Public Utilities
The Pender County Public Utilities Department recently made a historic appointment.
Erin Jones has been appointed director of the new surface water treatment plant, becoming the first woman to hold that position.
Throughout her professional life, Jones has been diligent in developing a career in the water treatment field, and in 2019, she graduated with a degree in Marine Technology from Cape Fear Community College. Following graduation, Jones joined Pender County Utilities as a Water Treatment Plant Operator in 2020 and has steadily earned new surface water treatment licenses each year.
Licensed Acupuncturist Joins Infinity Acupuncture
Infinity Acupuncture, located in the Surf City Crossing Shopping Center, has welcomed licensed acupuncturist Cassandra Krug to her staff. Krug graduated from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is certified by the National Certification Board in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Krug is an Oriental Medicine Diplomate and is also a licensed acupuncturist in Colorado and North Carolina. She is advanced trained in both sports medicine and balance methods. The Hampstead office is located at 201 Alston Blvd. Unit B.
Atlantic Union Bank is a local
Atlantic Union Bank, an emerging bank in the Wilmington area, has named local native Charlie Mattox as its new wholesale market president. Mattox joined the bank in May. A graduate of Berry College in Rome, Georgia, Mattox earned his Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs. He furthered his banking education at the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Mattox most recently served as senior vice president at Truist, where he began his banking career.

Becker Morgan Group Welcomes Six New Employees
Becker Morgan Group, which comprises departments in architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, surveying, interior design, graphic design and administration, has welcomed six new members of staff.
The new recruits, all from New Hanover County, are Heidi Davari, Christopher Fernandez, Caitlin Fitzsimmons, Julian Gray, Abrianna Jacobs and Zach Reed.
CTP opens in Wilmington
Creative communications agency CTP recently announced the opening of a Wilmington office. The Carolinas office will be led by CTP executive creative director Grant Pace. Pace was owner of Wilmington-based Mercury Advertising until it was acquired by CTP in 2005. Hunter Klein will head partnerships and growth for CTP Carolinas.

Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage recently welcomed five agents to various offices in the Wilmington area.
Chris Dunn has joined the Autumn Hall office. Dunn previously worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
Julie Schuldner has joined the Autumn Hall office. Ms. Schuldner holds an MBA from Temple University. She has experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising and is an active member of the Cape Fear chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Tina Smith joins the Autumn Hall office, bringing 20 years of entrepreneurial experience to her new career, including 10 years as a certified business coach.
Keily Heredia has joined our downtown Wilmington office. A former professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Heredia has a PhD in Chemistry and is well-versed in helping others understand complex systems and processes.
Lauren Schuster has joined our Wilmington Downtown office. In addition to her real estate career, Schuster is also a journalist/reporter for WECT.
