As we enter the latter half of March, it appears that the heat wave has arrived in earnest. This is a sure sign that summer season has finally arrived in this country (based on temperature, not academic calendar). In addition to practicing constant hydration and reapplying sunscreen as essential summer-themed self-care rituals, many of us (like myself) are also ready to shed the excess fur balls left over from the holidays. it’s finished.
In fact, there are so many exercise options to consider this year. Many of us may have a comfortable workout routine, whether it’s a session at our favorite gym or an at-home exercise video, but some of us are looking for something new or want to get a new body. There are also other doors open to change the pace for those who have goals.
Recently, I was looking to try Pilates in an actual Pilates studio and found a fun new place, Evolve Movement Studio, located on the second floor of Banilad Town Center.
With a philosophy that revolves around the word ‘evolution’, the studio’s team aims to help people embark on a journey of self-development, personal growth and transformation through Pilates. Specializing in Reformer Pilates, this location has six reformers and plenty of space to experience group classes.
What’s interesting is that many of the Pilates studios I’ve heard of only have a few machines available and mostly do one-on-one sessions, but EMS offers both group and private classes, with something for all levels. We also offer open class types. . Unique classes include the Beginner Basics Series, Posture and Deep Stretching, Sculpt + Tone, Define + Flow, Cardio Blast, and Core Power Hour.
Recently, the studio hosted a two-day event called “Sculpt and Sip,” which invited the Cebuano Pilates community to come together and connect through a Pilates marathon. All slots were filled both days, and he had seven classes open each day. This shows how popular this form of exercise is today and proves that it’s worth a try.
If you are interested in booking a session, message ‘Evolve Movement Studio’ on Facebook or visit their website (evolveph.co) for more information.
