The 36-year-old daughter of a Nepali mayor who was in the state for meditation was reported missing, and Nepali authorities informed the Goa police.
“The manager of a restaurant in Ashvem Beach reported that a woman from Nepal who was staying there for a retreat was missing. She was last seen on Monday around 9:30 p.m. We are in contact with the Nepalese embassy officials and they have also informed us about the matter. A missing persons report has been filed. The woman’s family is expected to arrive in Goa on Wednesday. We are checking CCTV cameras in the area to trace her,” said a police officer involved in the investigation.
