XENIA — There’s a new store in town that wants to treat your mind, body and soul, literally.
Mystic Life, 65 S. Allison Avenue, has a little bit of everything. Housed in his 6,000-square-foot building just off West Second Avenue, the store has large rooms sectioned off for specific purposes. A studio room in the back offers yoga, sound baths, and guided meditation classes.
“In our classroom area, we offer ‘Make and Take’ classes. You can make your own elderberry syrup, cleaning products, self-care products and many other products using natural ingredients,” said store owner Beth Paul Fletcher. “We also offer crochet classes, painting classes, and many other craft classes.”
Upcoming classes/sessions are:
— Mystic Yoga by Windy Bird is offered every other Monday. The next class will be on April 22nd at 7pm.
— Hippie, Shake, Flow (with Angela Garber) Offered every other week. The next class will be on May 2nd at 7pm.
— The Art of Mindfulness (co-authored with Janine Phillips). The next workshop will be on April 23rd.
— Learn to Crotchet (with Karen Smith) was held on the third Tuesday of each month. The next class will be on April 16th.
According to the center’s staff, BioMat and Reiki Healing reduce inflammation, stress and fatigue, and improve sleep. A crowd-favorite sound bath experience takes place during a new or full moon.
“A sound bath is a meditative experience that uses vibrating sound to promote mental and physical health and balance. Certain tones and frequencies are believed to have the power to heal the mind and body,” says the self-defense expert. said Paul Fletcher, who has run classes, past life regression workshops, vision board workshops and crystal introduction classes.
Paul Fletcher left a career in legal support to start Mystic Life. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which made things even more difficult, but she said she is grateful for the loyalty of her friends and family who gave her the strength to pursue her dreams.
“This business may have been my idea, but what makes Mystic Life what it is is the women who believed in me. I may have created the space, but we Together they gave soul to Mystic Life,” she said.
The store also has its own boutique with jewelry, clothing, crystals, candles, soaps, rare artwork, and more. Local vendors are encouraged to rent space and sell their own art and various products.
Mystic Life also offers energy healing with Reiki masters and a healing room that other energy healers can rent for practice. Also on-site is Timeless Hair Studio, a salon owned by Cindy Lucas.
“There’s no other place I’d rather be. This is exactly what I was looking for,” Lucas said. “I’ve been working in hair for 29 years.”
