If you’re looking for a way to get rid of 11 lines, this grandma-approved technique might be just what you’re looking for.
A woman has revealed the DIY secrets that kept her grandmother’s skin smooth all her life.
Commenting on a Reddit post about anti-aging, user Specialistkate shared a secret technique her grandmother swears by to combat wrinkles.
She explained that her grandmother had noted the 11 lines between her eyebrows.
“My grandmother would always put cellophane tape over her eyebrows in a V shape when she slept,” Kate says.
Kate shared how this DIY hack helped her late grandmother maintain her youthful-looking skin.
“It worked wonders and helped me stay wrinkle-free for decades,” she wrote.
A Reddit user’s grandmother first tried this trick when she was in middle age.
She was so impressed with the technique that she continued it for the rest of her life.
“She began performing in the 1970s and continued performing until she became ill and passed away in the 2000s,” the poster explains.

It wasn’t until her grandmother passed away that Kate realized how often she had used the Scotch tape trick.
“When my grandfather moved out of the farmhouse he lived in, he found packets of Scotch tape hidden around the house,” Kate says.
“Now my memories of my grandmother are strangely heartwarming and happy, and I realise maybe I should start doing that too.”
Kate’s grandmother had to get creative to combat wrinkles, but since then, a number of beauty companies have launched face tapes specifically designed to keep skin smooth.
Ochsner Health experts discussed the effectiveness of the technology.
“Keeping muscles in the right position overnight may help prevent wrinkles from forming, at least temporarily,” the researchers explained.
“Taping your face can reduce the appearance of fine lines immediately after removing the tape, but most skin care experts agree that the effect is only temporary.”
