Advent Reflections: Online Series
Feeling overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the holiday season? Give yourself a little time for quiet reflection each day of Advent, courtesy of Murphy Ignatian Spirituality Center’s new online service. 2023 Advent Reflection Series.
The Advent Reflection Series, which begins Dec. 3 (the first Sunday of Advent) and runs through Christmas Day, provides participants with access to a daily five-minute online video hosted by the Murphy Center’s spiritual director. Each host reflects on the day’s scripture readings and invites viewers to enjoy a moment of peace and prayer as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus at Christmas.
The Advent Reflection Series, led by the Rev. John Savard (SJ, ’78), associate director of the Murphy Center, is free and open to the Fairfield community. Faculty, alumni, and friends of Fairfield University and Fairfield Preparatory are encouraged to participate. .
Registration ends on November 27th.
women’s advent retreat
With the theme of “news of peace and joy”, women’s advent retreat will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at the Dolan School of Business Event Hall. Drinks and snacks will be served at 6pm and the retreat will begin at 6:30pm.
Attendance for this popular annual evening of fellowship and reflection, sponsored by the Murphy Center for Ignatian Spirituality and Campus Ministries, fills up quickly.
Registration will be accepted until December 1st or until the event sells out.
