(KNSI) – Medical experts are offering tips to help people feel happier and better during May Mental Health Awareness Month.
Dr. Stephen Ruth, chief clinical director at the Central Minnesota Mental Health Center, wants people to know they’re not alone in living with anxiety, depression, and other issues. Experts also welcomed the creation of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number 988. Ruth says the number will encourage more people to report they need help, which is a good thing. Experts say the need for both mental health and chemical health services has increased considerably since the pandemic.
