If you’re hoping to get more out of your next vacation, you’re not alone. With wellness tourism on the rise, travelers are itching to incorporate physical, mental, and spiritual activities into their vacations. According to Grand View Research, the wellness tourism industry was valued at $814.6 billion in 2022 and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.42% from 2023 to 2030. However, this added element to travel is not easily accessible to the general public. Whether it’s going on a wellness-only retreat or staying at a hotel with advanced spas and related amenities, these coveted experiences can be expensive, time-consuming, and difficult to achieve.

Thankfully, Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, the famous founder of Melissa Wood Health, is bringing the popular experiences seen on social media directly into every home. The 41-year-old mother of two recently partnered with the Grand Wailea Maui at Waldorf Astoria. She helped out at the Grand Kilolani Spa in celebration of the renovation of this amazing resort in Wailea, taught her two fitness classes throughout the weekend, and gave her a 90-minute massage that she calls “the best massage” she’s ever had. I enjoyed her deep tissue massage. To further the partnership, Wood-Tepperberg revealed all her secrets (for example, all Embark on the ultimate beauty and health retreat without leaving your home.

“Beauty and health are a way of life for me, so I no longer seek to make them part of everything I do,” she says in 2023. sports illustrated said the swimsuit rookie. “It’s all-encompassing and just part of how I live my life. Even when I’m traveling, I get up and meditate and move my body, even if it’s just for five minutes. It’s about being disciplined. No. It’s a matter of consistency. It’s about your mind, your body, your skin care, and the products you use. It’s not just something you do when you’re making videos at home. It’s part of everything. When you work on it, everything comes full circle and it makes a big difference. Changing your habits changes your life. I get chills all over when I talk about it.”

Read on for Wood Tepperberg’s secrets and get ready to transform your next weekend (and some of it) at home.

Stock up on effective skin care

Now, Wood-Tepperberg shows off her clear, glowing skin, but it wasn’t always that way. That’s what makes her journey even more fascinating and inspiring. Because she made her conscious decision to change her lifestyle and, by extension, her appearance.

“I suffered from cystic acne most of my life,” she said. “I had wherever. Even now, I am moved when people tell me that my skin is beautiful. I’ve never heard of such a thing. I was a model, and the first thing every makeup artist would say to me, as if I didn’t already know, was, “Your skin looks really rough.” ”

Therefore, she will be on the path of health.

“I tried Accutane, tried all sorts of topical medications, and saw a dermatologist,” she recalls. “I decided to no longer listen to any sources of information outside of myself and started meditating. That’s when my skin really started to clear up. I’ve become really clear and honest about what I’m putting near my body, and I’m even more understanding about the products I use and even home care products like laundry detergent and pillowcases. I’m a big product fanatic, and I love testing and trying things out to see what actually works. I love it.”

Now, this guru can confidently talk about his game changer:

  • tammy fender— “This skin care is so clean that you can probably eat it.”
  • furtuna skin— “Their face serum and eye serum are some of my favorite beauty products. I also love their toner.”
  • Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser— “It’s so clean and yet foamy. I love the way it bubbles and everything comes off.”
  • drunk elephant— “I love their eye cream. C-Pharma Fresh Day Serum”
  • kora organic――“Brands are amazing. I love them.” turmeric glow moisturizer”
  • bare faced toning pad— “I just love them.”
  • warm tenugui“One of my most amazing beauty secrets of all time is to wash my face every night with a warm washcloth. Even if you think you’ve cleaned your face, washing your face with a towel and then toning your skin will leave you feeling uneasy. You can tell if there are any bacteria left.
  • Danna Omari Tools — “Two tools that I swear by are by amazing estheticians in the beauty field. She was such an iconic person and she just passed away, so I want her legacy to live on forever.” Her name is Dana Omari and she is the founder of. noi skin care, and she has amazing gua sha that she makes herself. She also has reflexology tools that are perfect for relieving tension and soothing fine lines on her face. If you suffer from migraines or nausea during pregnancy, certain reflexology points on your face can help release all that tension. ”
  • JTAV Clinical Skin Care— “Joey Tavanis has been doing my facials for over 10 years. She has known me since I was suffering from acne. I get facials every 6-8 weeks. It really helped my skin change with her. JTAV Glow Pro LED Mask. I use it about 3 days a week. ”

turn to nature

  • epsom salt— “By taking a warm bath, these help relax and expand cell and lymph flow. If you’re feeling stressed or in pain, it’s a therapy that helps everything.”
  • raw apple cider vinegar— “If you are suffering from acne, or pigmentation, age spots, or acne scars, I use raw apple cider vinegar as a toner on my skin. Dip a cotton ball in a little filtered water and place it on your skin. Don’t wash it off, apply moisturizer over it.
  • aloe vera leaves— “I’m all about accessibility. As I evolved and grew, I came to love all things. But when there wasn’t that much, I went to the health food store and , I took an aloe vera leaf and applied it all over my skin as a moisturizer in my serum.I could leave it on or sleep with it on and my skin would wake up looking glassy.
  • wet sand“My favorite way to exfoliate all over my body is to sit near a gush of water by the sea, pick up some sand, and exfoliate with the sand. There’s no better exfoliant than sand.”

Practice exercises to revitalize your skin

The fitness guru, who enforces low-impact exercise on her at-home Mindful Movement platform, says that “a lot of what messes up your skin is stress.” He said he believes it is beneficial for the skin. “If you move your body like I do in my class, you won’t feel stressed. It’s still difficult, but your parasynthetic nervous system will be further strengthened, which will bring more calm and peace. Once you feel more calm and at ease, it starts from there.”

Low-impact training has a domino effect.

“It’s easier on the joints and it’s easier on the mind,” Wood-Tepperberg said. “And you’ll see results that go beyond the physical. That’s why I believe in Pilates-style slow, controlled movements.”

Set the scene for the perfect sleep

From completing tasks to habitual scrolling through social media to a general hamster wheel of intrusive thoughts, getting the recommended eight hours of sleep each night isn’t always realistic. But Wood-Tepperberg says they are essential. After all, it’s not just called “beauty sleep.”

“Whenever someone says they want to take better care of themselves, I say it starts with sleep,” she explained. “It starts with regenerating and replenishing your cells. People get excited about the fact that we’re so busy, but we have to get a good, restful sleep. My sleep regimen is very serious. I think people are dependent on their own habits.

On the flip side, Wood Tepperbergs are early risers, so it’s important to get some beauty sleep early instead of hitting the snooze button and waking up in the morning.

“I don’t like getting up early, but I do it because I know how I want to feel,” she said. “I always say, when the alarm goes off and you’re like this, no way, ask yourself how good you want to feel. Everyone wants to feel so good, but they’re not willing to do what it takes to get there. It doesn’t have to be torture, believe me. ”

Here’s everything else she recommends:

  • Sakara detox tea-“I love it. It just helps ease the system.”
  • De la heart the body tool— “I’ve been using this lymphatic drainage tool for years. I like to open it up and flush it out. Just make sure to drain it before bed.”
  • leg routine–“I put my feet up on the wall like clockwork every night. This helps my body relax and is very effective at reducing inflammation from the day, especially after a flight.” It’s a reversal that will improve your sleep quality. I’ll do it until my legs start to tingle.”
  • natural sleep aids— “I love a good natural sleep aid if I feel like I need it. The CBD products I use don’t make me feel groggy or gross when I wake up.” .”
  • No TV“Many people watch TV before bed and think it calms them down. But in reality, it sends your brain into a spiral. You’re going to have bad dreams.”
  • no alcohol— “Some people drink wine before bed because it calms them down. It may feel that way in the moment, but it’s actually a destructive factor.”
  • No electronics— “I take my phone off my hands an hour before bed. That’s ideal, but for many people that’s difficult, so at least 20 minutes is a good place to start.”
  • good book—I just read a book called “Reading just a few pages can help you fall asleep.” forgot to die. It’s intense, but it’s one of those books that really shows you that even people who were addicted can turn their lives around. This is a story about the founder of Sun Life Organic. [Khalil Rafati]. It’s one of the most incredible stories. I have never read a book so quickly in my life. I love reverse stories.Every time I doubt myself, even in the world I’ve come from, I’m reminded of how far I’ve come, and how far any of us have come. can There comes a time when we choose to create and carve a different path for ourselves. Another book that will truly change your life is you can heal your life Written by Louise Hay. It’s just one of my staples. A beautiful book that will help you learn to love and accept yourself. It starts from there. ”
