From May 3rd to 5th, this historic cultural event returns for the 28th consecutive year as a three-day festival.
Featuring decorated displays, light and firework shows, ceremonies, and multicultural performances, this weekend promises moments of peace, enlightenment, and celebration.

The square is filled with gorgeous exhibits praising the Buddha.
Stroll through Lumbini Gardens, inspired by the place where Maya Queen gave birth to Buddha. See a giant Buddha figurine and an elaborate floral display depicting the lotus flower that bloomed when the monk took his first steps on earth.
At the Lotus Sanctuary, stroll beneath the giant, sparkling lotus flowers and take a moment to reflect on the Buddhist understanding of the cycle of life. Join his hourly meditation sessions at the festival at the Sanctuary to reconnect with the world, yourself, and those around you.
The highlight of the event is a giant animated linden tree. The Artists in Motion team created a digital rendering of the tree in which Buddha sat for seven weeks until he attained enlightenment. The tree moves and changes, expressing the spiritual journey of the practitioner.
An opening ceremony will be held on the opening night, followed by a dramatic fireworks display.
Catch performances from all cultures throughout the weekend. Witness a giant bubble show, Fo Guangshan Choir, Mexican dance, Acer Okinawan drumming, contemporary street style dance, Tai Chi, highland bagpipes, Blaby Blessing Ceremony, and more. more. The performance is interwoven with traditional rituals.
