- Megan Thee Stallion changed her diet to improve her mental and physical health.
- She reduced her intake of sugary drinks and red meat and started eating more nutritious foods.
- Her protein-packed smoothie recipe includes strawberries and bananas.
If you follow Megan Thee Stallion on social media, you’ll know that the rapper takes her fitness seriously and has the physique to prove it.
But challenging workouts are only part of Megan’s health regimen. In recent years, she has overhauled her diet to promote mental and physical health, she told Women’s Health in an interview published Wednesday.
Megan, 29, said she first started doing fitness and working out, but didn’t notice any changes in her body until she changed her diet, cutting out sugary drinks and red meat and drinking lots of water.
Megan started eating more nutritious foods, such as avocados, sweet potatoes, fish, and vegetables, and noticed that she felt less bloated and her skin cleared up. But she still enjoys her favorite treats, like pepper jack cheese and dark chocolate, in moderation.

Before working out in the morning, Megan drinks a green juice or protein smoothie with the following ingredients:
-
strawberry
-
banana
-
almond milk
-
protein powder
The carbohydrates found in bananas and strawberries provide energy for exercise. Protein is important to help repair and regenerate muscles after a workout, and nutritionists recommend consuming protein throughout the day, not just after a workout.
Nutritionist Nicola Ludlum-Raine previously told Business Insider that to create a balanced smoothie, you should include fruit, milk, vegetables, healthy fats, fiber and protein.
“By combining these we can slow down the release of energy from the blended fruit,” Ludlum-Laing said.
Megan’s trainer previously told BI that while her workouts focus on her core and glutes, getting plenty of rest is also key to making progress in the gym.
