LUMBINI: Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of External Affairs, has emphasized that meditation is a gateway to understanding the essence of life.
He emphasized that the practice of meditation gives us inspiration for truth, justice, equality and progress.
Speaking at a program held on the occasion of World Meditation Day at Mayadevi Temple on Friday, DPM Shrestha explained that meditation is a meditative practice that dispels illusions and encourages one to move from darkness to enlightenment towards light. .
He emphasized that it is a means of self-development.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of studying Buddha and Buddhism for peace, adding that those involved in corruption and criminal activities cannot truly embrace meditation.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song said that Nepal and China share deep ties not only through mountains and rivers, but also through Buddha and Buddhist teachings.
He expressed his pride in figures like Mr. Araniko and Mr. Bhrikuti who are respected not only by Nepalese but also by Chinese people.
Mr Song pointed out that Lumbini has the potential to spread a special message of peace and happiness to modern people. He emphasized that the strong ties and cooperation between Nepal and China are contributing to promoting tourism in Lumbini.
