actress Meagan Good She’s talking about her spiritual journey and how it helped her get through her divorce from ex-husband Devon Franklin.
The couple met on the set of Flying a broomProducer and motivational speaker filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differencesGood and Franklin’s divorce was finalized the following year.
Since their split, the two have moved on. HaremThe star is currently Actor Jonathan MajorsMeanwhile, Franklin sparked dating rumors earlier this year after being spotted with a mystery woman.
Recent Club Shay Shay During the podcast, Good reflected on the dramatic changes in her life over the past two years and shared insights she gained after her split from Franklin.

During the interview, the 42-year-old actress spoke about her relationship with God and how, despite recent challenges, she still sees her life’s path as a beautiful journey.
“For me, life has always been a journey. The last two years have especially been a journey. But it’s been a really beautiful journey,” she said. “Now I’m in a place of freedom in God and trusting that He knows my heart. He knows who I am better than I know myself. So it’s been a really beautiful journey.”

As the conversation progressed, Goode spoke of her divorce from Franklin and Legal issues surrounding the majorswas eventually charged with assault and harassment after splitting with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabari.

“Absolutely. That hasn’t been the case this past year. This past year I’ve been saying, ‘Lord, I know you will do it. I trust you. And I know I was there to give it to Jonathan. That’s what I felt was the reason I was there. My faith has never wavered in that time,” she said.
Regarding the end of her marriage, Goode revealed that it was unexpected and turned her world upside down, especially since she felt she was following God’s guidance.
“But then I went through my divorce and it hit me to the core. God, you told me to stay single, so I did. You told me to get married, so I married the man,” she said. “I try to do everything to the best of my ability, and obviously I didn’t do everything perfectly, but I honestly don’t know if I could have done anything differently. So I was like, ‘Why is this happening?'”
of Shazam! The Wrath of the GodsTarr opened up about her biggest fears after divorcing Franklin and how she had to do some soul searching and rediscover God’s plan for her life. After this journey, Good praised her ex-husband for living his truth despite public scrutiny.
“My biggest fear was that after 10 years of marriage, my husband would abandon me like my mom and dad did, and that’s exactly what happened. It was like, I don’t understand this,” she said. “It took a lot of prayer, a lot of evaluation, and learning a lot about myself too. It was about realizing the situation we were both in. It was about rediscovering God and realizing that the way we see and understand things isn’t untrue. It just comes in different seasons.”
Good continued, “I had to accept that if this was not my choice and it was something God allowed, then He allowed it for a good reason. I think we both grew a lot from this experience… I was so angry at Devon at the time, but now I think what he did was very brave. I think it was so frightening that the church and everyone, everyone, would think that this is not what a man of God or a woman of God would do. Of course, a lot of people thought, Megan must have done something. I was like, ‘What?'”

At the end of the conversation, Good praised the pair for their growth and ability to maintain the friendship that grew out of the love they once shared.
“But I think we should have been married that long for us to grow to this extent. I think we got the best out of it and benefited from it… He taught me a lot, I taught him a lot. We learned a lot and we gave a lot. We’re still friends and like he said, love is [has] “It has morphed into something else, but it’s still love,” she said.
The “Think Like a Man” star added that despite the divorce, he has no regrets and said the experience has taught him to live without fear.
“I don’t regret anything and I’m so grateful for the time we had together,” she said. “I’m so grateful for what I’ve learned and I think I love in a different way now because when my worst fears have now happened, there’s nothing to be scared of anymore.”
When asked if she felt like she had failed when her marriage to Franklin fell apart, Good said, “No.” She explained that the couple’s “nearly 10 years of successful marriage” and the lessons they learned from each other contributed to their growth together.
