
The federal government has issued a major recall list for a popular vitamin brand across Ontario, citing the risk of metal fibers.
Several safety alerts distributed on behalf of Health Canada were released on Friday (July 19), focusing specifically on a number of brands that are commonly available across the country.
Leading brands on this list include Costco’s Kirkland Signature, Weber Naturals, and London Drugs.
Ontario residents should be mindful of their vitamin stockings and ensure the affected brands are not currently in any medicine cabinets.
The list of recalled products is as follows:
- B100 Complex Timed Release (Kirkland Signature)
- Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin C (Life)
- Pre-pregnancy multivitamin 100 tablets with folic acid (option +)
- Spectrum Prenatal Postnatal (Life)
- Multivitamin & Mineral for Women (Option +)
- Spectrum Women’s 22 Vitamins & Minerals Plus Lutein & Lycopene (Life)
- B50 Complex Timed Release (Webber Naturals)
- Most Complete Multi for Women 50+ Once Daily (Webber Naturals)
- Most Complete Men’s Multi 50+ Once Daily (Webber Naturals)
- Vitamin B50 Complex (Webber Naturals)
- Multi Women / For Women 50+ with Lycopene and Lutein, Multivitamin & Mineral / Multivitamin & Mineral (Wellness by London Drugs, Option+, Life)
- SPECTRUM for Women Over 50/Over 50 (London Drugs, Options+, Wellness by Life)
- 23 Vitamins and Minerals Plus Lutein and Lycopene for Women Over 50 (Wellness by London Drugs, Option+, Life)

If residents experience an adverse reaction after ingesting any of these products, they are encouraged to verify that the product is one of the items listed above, contact their healthcare provider and notify Health Canada.
